By accessing or using TheQuill.Pub, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

TheQuill.Pub is a publishing platform that verifies human-created content through keystroke telemetry. Our Proof of Craft system assigns verification badges to content based on analysis of writing patterns. We provide tools for writing, publishing, and discovering verified human content.

Eligibility

To use our service, you must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area). By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at hey@thequill.pub if you discover any unauthorized use.

One Account Per Person

You may only create one account. Multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or deceive other users are prohibited.

Ownership

You own your content. We don't claim ownership of the articles and other content you create and publish on TheQuill.Pub.

License Grant

By publishing content on our platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and reproduce your content on our platform and in connection with our services. This license is necessary for us to show your work to readers around the world.

Content Standards

You agree that your content will not:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe any intellectual property or privacy rights
• Contain defamatory, libelous, or unlawful material
• Include hate speech, harassment, or threats
• Distribute malware or harmful code
• Attempt to manipulate our telemetry or verification systems

You agree not to:

• Use automated systems to access or interact with our service without permission
• Attempt to circumvent our Proof of Craft verification system
• Submit false or misleading telemetry data
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Collect user information without consent
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose

Our Property

TheQuill.Pub, our logo, and all related trademarks, service marks, and trade names are our property. You may not use them without our written permission.

Your Property

As stated above, you retain ownership of content you publish on our platform.

Copyright Claims

If you believe content on our platform infringes your copyright, please contact us at hey@thequill.pub with details of the alleged infringement.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any content published on the platform. Views expressed by users are their own and do not represent TheQuill.Pub.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheQuill.Pub shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service shall not exceed $50 USD or the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TheQuill.Pub and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

By You

You may stop using our service and delete your account at any time through your account settings.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

Survival

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification) shall remain in effect.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Venue

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California.

• Changes: We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be notified through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
• Assignment: You may not assign these terms without our consent. We may assign to any affiliate or successor.
• Entire Agreement: These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TheQuill.Pub.
